About Hair Loss
Hair loss, also known as Alopecia, refers to a loss of hair from parts of the head and scalp. 50% of males are affected by this deficiency. Male pattern baldness is related to genetics, as well as internal and external factors. Hair loss in male patients usually follows a pattern of receding hairline and hair thinning on the crown.
Female pattern baldness, also called Androgenetic Alopecia, is the term used to describe hair loss in female patients. Current studies indicate that 70% of women lose hair. It is similar to male pattern baldness, except that women often lose their hair in a different pattern than men. Various types of Alopecia are experienced by both men and women. Internal and external factors play a major part in all types.
